Automaker, Distributor, Other chain members, or You?
1.Manufacturer
The customers need to be warned by the manufacturer of possible hazards and safety precautions, in any form
2. Distributor
For a recurring defect, the Distributor can be held accountable for placing a defective product on the market.
3.Others
Any other element in the supply chain of electric vehicles, EV batteries can be held responsible based on the evidence you have and the cause of the explosion.
4. You
Accidentally you may have done something which can cause battery to explode. But still, it is responsibility of manufacturer that he didn't warn you.
Evidence
You need to collect all the evidence you can. It includes, the bills, broken battery parts, any metals nearby, charger parts, etc.

You can approach lawyer, consulting firm, and also the insurance company to claim the compensation.
